For the challenge at Orange Paperie. The challenge was to scrap something about new beginnings. My journalling is on the pull out tab to the left of the pic and reads: After living together for 10 years you both decided to tie the knot. 27/9/2007.
Took me ages to do this, it gave me the willies from start to finish.Have used Kaiser papers and embellies from the Botanical Odyssey collection. The large white flower is Manor House Creations, wooden embellies are Kaiser and the key is miscellaneous. I used a bit of gesso to colour it white and then Tim Holtz distress inks over the gesso.

The latest......................had a bit of trouble with this one, it started out to be my take on the latest Stuck sketch, but then things went haywire, sooooooo. this is the end result.Have used papers and transparency's from the Kaiser Periwinkle collection, the fabric rose is Kaiser, and have added a few handmade flowers and Kaiser resin flowers to the cluster.

A sneak of the latest.........soon to be revealed.
Had an unwanted guest in the shed at lunchtime, we were sitting there waiting for the carpets to dry after being cleaned, Sally being the ever vigilant watch dog that she is started going beserk and looking up at the roof. Looked up myself and found myself looking a brown snake practically in the eye. Have never moved to fast in all my life!! A quick call to our local snake man had everything sorted and the little blighter was removed. Ian was telling us that today being a cooler day is why they are out and about as believe it or not, snakes hate the extreme heat as much as we do. I will NEVER!! complain about 40+ degrees ever again.A huge thankyou to Ian Hoy

Just sharing with you today a couple of Birthday cards I whipped up yesterday. The teal coloured one is made of scraps from the Kaiser "75 cents" collection and the other is made with Kaiser Botanical Odyssey 6" pad and collectables. Now it just remains for Betty and Tracey to figure out who gets what, hee hee hee!
Have a great day everyone and T.F.L.

First layout for the year

Got my hands on some of the "75cents" range from Kaiser, due to be released later this month and had fun playing. All the papers are you see are from that range, the collectables are from the Kaiser "Marigold" collection. The wooden flourishes and resin buttons are Kaiser as is the clock overlay. The clock template in the background paper is a Kaiser  and I used texture paste and Tim Holtz distress inks to colour them. The pic is of my two lovely daughters and my youngest g/daughter Jessica, taken on Christmas day. Thank you Miss Mary for the big pep talk you gave me on Sunday xx

Happy New Year everyone!!

The first day of 2013, oh my! how the years are flying. I hope this year is a happy and prosperous one for each and every one of you. Seeing all my resolutions usually get broken within the first few months of the New year ( lose weight, get fit etc etc) I have set myself a realistic goal this year, and that is to do a blog post every day of the year, even if only to comment on how my day has been. Let's see if I can stick to this one, hee hee hee!! Have a great day today my friends and if you are travelling, stay safe.
