This is my take on Annette's challenge for September, over at Orange Paperie, for which I am the guest designer for the month, my goodness!! The challenge was a "recipe"and the ingredients are as follows:

a black and white pic . Ribbon. Chippies. Inking. Distressing, and a two word title.

the challenge was to scrap a childhood memory, and I chose a pic of my very first dog Sandy, he was a gentle soul, and I loved him dearly. The Journallng reads, My very first pet Sandy. He was a border Collie/Labrador cross, and the gentlest, most faithful dog any child could ever wish to have. He lived to a ripe old age and eventually died from distemper. It broke my heart in two.

These two layouts are from Melissa Kennedy's class (Kaisercraft) at the Brisbane Expo. The kit was a very generous one, with enough goodies to complete these two layouts and lots of goodies to spare. Will definitely do another class with her if the opportunity arises.

My take on Lisa Pates class at the Brisbane Papercraft Expo, I really like how it turned out.

I have not blogged since the 28th of April, (very sad) but since then a lot has happened. Went to the Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo on the 8th of June for four lovely days and had an absolute ball!!
Met up with the super gorgeous Annette Edmonds, and the super lovely Kim Ewins from Orange. We all stayed at the Explorer's Inn in Brissie, about a twenty minute walk from the Convention Centre. Weather was just lovely, a cool 20 odd degrees every day.....ho hum, yawn..  etc. The expo was fantastic. So much scrapbooking loveliness, thought I was in Scrappers Paradise. Did 4 classes and they were all fantastic, learnt a lot from all the "Masters" who by the way, were all so down to earth, just ordinary people. Took me a while to overcome my awe.
I met up also with the gorgeous Jo Tritton from Mudgee, and was great to spend a bit of time with her on Sunday arvo.
We had two great nights out, dining outdoors (so to speak) Myself, Annette, Kim and Jo on the forst night and the second night was full on, meeting old and new friends from Scrapboxx. com.au. What a fantastic night!!
Nearly missedc my plane back to Canberra on the Monday and had to be rushe from the back of the line to the front as my plane was actually boarding as I walked into the terminal, going through security I was told to go back as I had my hairspray in my carry on bag, due to lack of room in my other luggage because of all the scrapping goodies I accumulated over the weekend. I was so embarrassed! Felt like a criminal tee hee!!

This is my layout for the blind scrap and scrapchat night at the Boxx last Friday night, and here it is Friday again. Have not scrapped since then,I honestly dont know where the weeks go. I have made a few Cristmas cards (template care of the lovely Miss Annette) wil post pics at a later date.TFL.

Lazy day

Have not done much since the last post. Had a ball at Scrapboxx last Friday night where we all had a chat, heaps of laughs and tried to do a blind scrap. What a great night!!.
Worked Saturday and Sunday, so, today was mainly catching up with h/work, washing and ironing etc. But a lovely day as I did not leave the house except to take Sally for a walk. Will post my blind scrap layout tomorrow. Hoo roo and T.F.L.

Went over to Orange last weekend and stayed overnight with the fabulous Annette. Had a lovely scrappy day on Saturday with Annette, Mary and Kim. Started the layout below and finished it yesterday. On Sunday, Annette and I went to the markets at Milthorpe. Just fantastic markets!! they are huge. They are only held twice a year to raise funds for the local public school and what a fantastic job the organisers did to ensure that all ran smoothly. I slowly wended my way home after the markets, completely relaxed after such a great few days away.

Brades in 2011, he's getting to be so grown up.Time certainly flies by.

Miss Annette came to visit yesterday, she stayed overnight and we had a really great time, lots of laughs and "scrap" talk.I booked my tickets for the papercraft expo in June  and I am so excited!!! There are going to be a lot of girls from Scrapboxx there and just can't wait to meet them all.

Big Rain

Last day of Feb and we've had enormous rain over the last few days. 6 inches in less than 48 hrs. Which is all well and good unless you are a care worker (homecare) and out in it all day. grrrrr!! Having visitors from QLD on Friday for a while and this rain is supposed to keep going for another week.Just about beside myself thinking about it. However, I guess it will all work out "in the wash" No pun intended there, tee! hee!

Just been doing a bit of bloghopping, woo hoo!! It's a lovely rainy day here, have done absoluteley nothing all day, and now feeling really guilty. However, have done some bloghopping as just stated and have not done that for yonks. Have changed the blog around a bit but waiting to see the guru (Miss Annette) to help me do a proper makeover.

My dear old Nan, ( in the lace) She passed away when I was about twelve, but I still nurture very fond memories of her. Sleepovers at her place, helping her cook .......I used to love brushing her beautiful white hair, it was so soft! She never washed it in anything but rainwater. She was the tiniest little thing, 4'11" tall, and Pop was over 6 feet, but she was definitely "the boss".

Have not blogged in months, mainly due to lack of time, and a lot to do with lack of interest. My blog is sadly in need of a makeover, so, hopefully I will be able to do it properly and then get back on track.

September sketch challenge at Scrapboxx

This is my take on Julie's sketch over at Scrapboxx.

 Have not blogged in soooooo! long. Time seems to slip by in no time flat. As an old client of mine once said to me, "the days have wings on their feet". How true. Have not scrapped much in recent weeks but here is my latest. I have scraplifted L.O.by Leeann Pearce that was featured in Scrapbook Creations Vol 10 No 3.
