Slacko Me!!
Cant believe I have not blogged since the 5th of January????? heehee! yes I can. A lot has happened in that time, we've had some unbelievably hot weather, I have met a couple of online scrap friends IRL, and I have been over to Orange to catch up with the gorgeous girls from Orange Paperie and Co.
I have two layouts to share today and first and foremost is the Canvas I did in Orange when I visited on the 8th of Feb. Its for my gorgeous grandson Jake who turns 21 this May. Eeeek! where have the years gone?

Next up is a layout I did for last months challenge at Orange Paperie &Co. It was a challenge about LOVE, and was set by Mary. I chose a pic of three of my grandchildren, Jake and Jess, and their cousin Libby who had a get together shortly before Christmas 2013
Ooops forgot the journaling , sorry Mary!!

The Killers....... March Challenge at Orange Paperie & Co
My turn to set the challenge at OP this month, and I decided to ask everyone to create a layout using a vintage pic but with no vintage colours, ie: no cream, browns etc. I have used a pic from the internet of Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner who starred in the 1946 screen version of the novel The Killers by Ernest Hemingway.
I have used one piece of PP from the Kaiser "The Looking Glass " collection, the love birds were fussy cut from an old piece of Graphic 45 pp, the blooms are from Kaiser and Manor House. The die cut was from the Elegant Edges cartridge using the Provocraft cricut, hearts were cut with the cricut using acetate, the little black wooden piece was from Craft Queen. the clock from Scrapmatts and the splats were made with a stamp from Kaiser.
My guest designer for this month is John Weston, pop on over to OP and have a look at his lovely work.
Thanks for looking everyone and hoping you have a fantastic day today

Year 12 Graduation Terrigal High
My youngest grandson Brady has just graduated from year 12..... I feel sooooo old!! (I am old, heehee!) Love you Brades with all my heart. xx
I used a miss mash of old papers for this layout, the gorgeous chippie banner you see I got in a kit from the delightful BECK BEATTIE,her kits are really good value for money, you not only get the kit but have access to videos on you tube to show you how to complete them, you get enough to complete 2 pages with lots of new techniques to try. I still had not used the rest of my kit but had to pinch this fantastic chippie for this layout. T.F.L XX

Challenge for January 2014 at Orange Paperie and Co
oh dear..... another year over and another begun, its already day 4 of the New year.... Happy New Year to one and all, and may this coming year see us all have enough of everything..... not too much... just enough. I am sharing with you today my take on Miss Annette's challenge over at Orange Paperie and Co.... and the challenge was to create a layout about friendships and to document the event, and this is my take.
and this is what I documented.
Mum and Marj, siblings and friends. Marj the second born of nine and Mum the fourth born.. they were always close as children, and their friendship did not diminish over the years... even after meeting and marrying the men of their dreams and going their different ways
This pic was taken in Narooma in December of 2012 and it was to be the last time they ever saw each other, with Marj passing away in June 2013.
Fond memories of Marj will always remain.

Case File 97 for CSI
This is the beautiful colour palette for Case File 97 at CSI..........
And this is my take..
I solved the case by using a patterned background, a grid design around the borders of the page, and have dry embossed chevrons onto cardstock and used as a backing for the 3 cogs which have been used as a base for the pics. As testimony I have used repetition with all the circle shapes and have the word LIFE in my journalling which is on the back.
The journalling reads.....LIVE LIFE to the max, that is your motto.... and this day was no exception. We had travelled to Sydney in October 2011 to stay with cousin Trish. She and I went into the city to see The Jersey Boys, (Me for the third time and Trish for the second) whilst you and cousin Steve decided the Races were a better option. It was a big day at Rosehill and they were giving the hats away. You have both always enjoyed each others company and had fantastic day, even though no money was won. Steve sent me this pic of you both via his mobile.

Did this one for Case file no 96 over at CSI. It's my first crack at CSI and I did enjoy this challenge immensely. The evidence used was a clock, a frame, sheet music and vintage pics.
The testimony reads....Remember this mum? You were only eighteen, and I bet that Nanna never knew about this costume you made for yourself. She would have had a hissy fit if she had seen you in it.

Di's challenge at The Scrapbooking Hut
Hello everyone, as you may or may not know.. I have been chosen by Di to be a part of her Creative Team at The Hut. I am extremely excited, honoured and humbled to be a part of this amazingly talented lineup of scrappers. To have a look at Di's challenge pop on over to http://thescrapbookinghut.ning.com/ and have a little play along. This challenge is a "doozy" (to say the least) After reading the instructions I felt totally out of my comfort zone and nearly resigned before I had started l.o.l.! But all good now, and here is my take.
