So much to do, and so little time!

Have not blogged in ages, have been working two jobs for a while now, grrrrrr!. Visited Canberra about a month ago and the car cooked it's motor on the way home,(just 4 months out of warranty) So I have not been a very happy chappy. Got the bill yesterday, it was just under 4 grand! I have come to the conclusion that I will probably drop dead in uniform ha! ha!.
But on a brighter note, went up to Penrith at Easter to visit my cousin and we went to the Jersey boys (the 2nd time for me) It was just as good as the first time. We spent the day in the city wandering around The Rocks and had the most awesome Pizza at The Australian Hotel, will post some pics shortly.Until then, over and out, and have a great day.

A story about Green tomato Pickles!!

This is the story: Once upon a time there was a lady (my great grandmother) Her grandchildren called her Grandma Johnson. She used to make green tomato pickles, which she thought were "the best in the west". After she passed away my Mum and her siblings prided themselves on the fact that they had Grandma Johnson's "secret" pickles recipe, never to be given to anyone else. Little did they know that they all had it, L.O.L.!! I found Uncle Jim's version just recently  whilst cleaning his house after he passed away and decided to try it out.I also added a few of my own ingredients and the result was YUMMO!!!
These pickles were so delicious that I just had to scrap a page about them, you will find it below.

Here is the recipe for Uncle Jims Green Tomato Pickles

See Layout below

Raining

It's raining today, good weather for scrapping. It's also my 4th day off work and lovin' every minute of it .Hubby has been home for the past 2 weeks nearly, off work with a shoulder injury and driving me nutty. Goodness only knows how we'll go after retirement, the mind boggles!!!!

This is a fun page I did for a challenge by Leanne Jago over at The Boxx. She put up a song via video clip  and we had to use words etc from the song. I chose the title.Pop on over to the Boxx and feast your eyes on all the loveliness there.

Goodies Galore!!

Some goodies arrived today from "Clouds and More" Leanne Jago's little Etsy Shop. Are'nt they just scrumptious. Thank you L.J.

This is a layout I did last year in class at Joys Paperworks in Young. It was designed by the fabulous Wendy Bennett who has just been featured in a two page spread in Scrapbooking ideas Volume 5, if you can get your hands on it  have a peep at her work.

No time to play!

Really need to get a wiggle on, have been diddling around for weeks now, have a page half done for Scrappers Challenge on The Boxx but feel the need to give scrap room a good going over. It needs cleaning, de-junking etc......

Poor Sal!!

Had an accident and ended up with a 6 inch piece of wood embedded in her right shank. Too long a story to go into detail, but, awfully horrendous not only for her but D and me.
