Slacko Me!!

Cant believe I have not blogged since the 5th of January?????  heehee! yes I can. A lot has happened in that time, we've had some unbelievably hot weather, I have met a couple of online scrap friends IRL, and I have been over to Orange to catch up with the gorgeous girls from Orange Paperie and Co.
I have two layouts to share today and first and foremost is the Canvas I did in Orange when I visited on the 8th of Feb. Its for my gorgeous grandson Jake who turns 21 this May. Eeeek! where have the years gone?

Next up is a layout I did for last months challenge at Orange Paperie &Co. It was a challenge about LOVE, and was set by Mary. I chose a pic of three of my grandchildren, Jake and Jess, and their cousin Libby who had a get together shortly before Christmas 2013

Ooops forgot the journaling , sorry Mary!!

The Killers....... March Challenge at Orange Paperie & Co

My turn to set the challenge at OP this month, and I decided to ask everyone to create a layout using a vintage pic but with no vintage colours, ie: no cream, browns etc. I have used a pic from the internet of Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner who starred in the 1946 screen version of  the novel The Killers by Ernest Hemingway.

I have used one piece of PP from the Kaiser "The Looking Glass " collection, the love birds were fussy cut from an old piece of Graphic 45 pp, the blooms are from Kaiser and Manor House. The die cut was from the Elegant Edges cartridge using the Provocraft cricut, hearts were cut with the cricut using acetate, the little black wooden piece was from Craft Queen. the clock from Scrapmatts and the splats were made with a stamp from Kaiser.

My guest designer for this month is John Weston, pop on over to OP and have a look at his lovely work.
Thanks for looking everyone and hoping you have a fantastic day today
